Writing Assignment

 WRITING CHALLENGE:
“Look at the garden”

We had a writing challenge, which had sentences, or places where our story had to take place and every four minutes something knew would be added, and while writing, we had to put that new thing in. Everything that is underlined is what had to be added to our story.

Look at the garden!” My mother gasps as her eyes are filled with shock “What have you two done?!” The beautiful roses, lilies, cactuses, vegetables- our whole garden was trashed! And the worst part of all was that my mom thought I was there and also allowed those two kids ruin our backyard. I shouldn’t have volunteered to babysit these two hurricane-like hooligans! My dad was supposed to take care of them while my mom was working, but since they had forgotten because my dads going to Vancouver; and I was free that day, I guess I thought it was ok to babysit them for a couple of hours, I mean it wouldn’t kill me would it? My dad likes traveling so much that every time he comes back, I get new souvenirs- I already have different souvenirs from around the world! It was great since he always has a new story to tell, but I did wish I could’ve gone with him at least this one time but oh well I guess hopefully next time maybe, possibly, it could happen.
Earlier that day, we had dropped my dad at the train station to say goodbye. He was leaving for a week and of course we wee all going to miss him; I had to drop him off and take my siblings (at tis time my mom was at work, she couldn’t take that busy day off) as waving bye- while the train was leaving, I felt tears rushing down my face, I know ill see him in a week but he usually leaves and I want to have time with him which I barely get to. Anyways, as the train was leaving, I wiped the tears off my face and just kept waving at my dad, taking my sibling back to the car,
“Hey what time will I be able to call daddy?” asks my sister
“When he arrives there in around a day,” I reply
“Why do I have to wait so long? I want to talk to him NOW!”
“Calm down he’s in a train not in a rocket, he wont be there so soon, it’ll be over before you know it.”
“Fine! But I’m talking to him first”
“NO, I am!” says my brother
“Stop fighting or else none of you will be able to talk to him at all.”
Going back home, we pass by the CN tower since we live so far from the train station, and the tower is mid-way to my home so,
“Look guys this is the tallest tower in all of Canada”
“Whoa I can’t even see the top.” Says my sister
“It’s probably touching the clouds,” says my brother
“Maybe.” I say. When we get home, I got busy doing homework, and I regrettably leave my brother and sister alone until I hear a shriek and rush downstairs to see what happened. It turns out it was my mom.
“I couldn’t find a copy of the keys so I had to go through the back and look at this! I’ve been working too hard today look at what you’ve done! Katherine how irresponsible are you?”
“I’m sorry mom I had to do homework, I fed them and gave them work to do, and by the way when dad was getting ready, he found the key under the bed. Here.”

“Thanks, Katherine, Christian, and Emily all three of you will clean this whole mess. By the time I get back I expect this all to be clean!” and that’s how my whole ‘busy’ Friday went.
